It’s not always magical for someone to recognize you from afar and give you an offer. Whether it’s a job, contract, gig, etc.
Develop the habit of asking. You’ll be surprised that something you’ve wanted for so long will be made readily available to you within a split second, just by asking.
People might think you received what you have through dubious means. From Paul Angone’s best-selling book, “101 secrets for your twenties”, keep in mind that “embarrassment thrives in the petri dish of “what will others think?”
If you have that mindset and hence, reject what might be your biggest blessing, you may not get that opportunity again.
Don’t expect someone to assume that you’re in need of something. It doesn’t always work that way.
Ask for it. Do the follow-ups. Knock on that door. The worst that can happen is a “no” but be persistent. Keep pushing.
