Ten years of my life, I’ve watched how amazing Tv3’s talented kids has grown over the years. Sometimes some friends don’t even get why I’m so fond of this show but I know how it speaks my language, the language of arts education and expression.
I’ve seen how the show has exposed children with varying talents: singing, rapping, dancing, playing of instruments, comedy, magic, DJing, poetry and even hair do. I’ve also seen how some children have been inspired to express their talents because they saw their colleague children doing same on TV.
If my memory serves me right, Nakeeyat is the second poet to have been selected among the children to compete for the bragging right as Ghana’s most talented kid on the show. Amazingly, for the first time, a poet qualified for the finals and managed to win, just like the first DJ to qualify for the finals…
